Community litter picking event

9:30 am - 11:30 am
Wednesday, June 29, 2016

Every day, the restaurant conducts three litter patrols in the areas around the restaurant, picking up all litter, not just that of McDonald’s. Last year we also came together with the local community to hold a litter event at Clapham Common Park with over twenty-five volunteers and we collected forty bags of litter.

This event was one of over 400 McDonald’s litter events that took place in 2015, in partnership with Keep Britain Tidy and this activity involved over 12,000 volunteers from communities across the UK.

This year we want to build on this activity and we will be holding another community litter event in the local area. With over Thirty volunteers from McDonald’s, we will also be inviting the Police, Councillors, Lambeth Council, Sainsbury, Waitrose, Tesco and Barclays, we will be clearing litter from the Clapham common park area to inspire others to work together to keep our local environment free from litter.

We would like to get as many people involved in the event as possible and are inviting representatives from the council to join us to help keep the area clean. The event will take place on the 29th of June at 930am and we would be delighted if you could ALL join us.
