On February 10, 2025, Adam Byatt, the chef-owner of Trinity in Clapham Old Town, London, was honoured with the Mentor Chef Award at the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland’s 2025 ceremony. This accolade recognizes chefs who have made significant contributions to nurturing and developing the next generation of culinary talent.

Adam Byatt’s culinary journey began with the opening of his first restaurant, Thyme, in 2004, which garnered critical acclaim and several awards. In 2006, he launched Trinity in Clapham, emphasizing seasonal and sustainable cuisine. The restaurant earned its first Michelin star in 2016, solidifying its reputation as a cornerstone of London’s dining scene.

Beyond his achievements in the kitchen, Adam has been a dedicated mentor, guiding numerous chefs who have progressed to prominent positions within the industry such as Tom Sellers from Two-Star Story, Graham Squire from One-Star Dining Room at The Goring and Angelo Sato at Humble Chicken. His commitment to fostering talent is evident through his involvement with the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, where he serves as chairman.
