Clapham Common Gateway

Clapham common Tube Station

This is Clapham has recently begun work to improve the green space by Clapham  Common Tube Station following approval of the planning application in 2018.

The project seeks to improve this part of Clapham Common and create a new gateway and provide an area where people can spend short amounts of time to dwell.

The project has been designed by Clapham BID members Methodic Practice, an architect firm based in the Clapham North Arts Centre.

The project includes laying 17 tonnes of new topsoil and grass seed and using  large granite kerbstones acquired from Hyde Park. The kerbs will be used to create pathways and raised beds.
